I love the way the whiskers reach out almost unnoticed to fill the square frame on this one. I tried really hard to stick to my initial value study on this one!

I will be teaching workshops in different locations this year called ‘Pet Portraits with Personailty’. Working ‘alla prima’ in oil or acrylic paint we will look at ways of applying the paint in a dynamic and interesting way: focusing on colour, brushwork and composition.  See the ‘Workshops’ tab for more details.
