And now for something completely different!
This is my submission for ‘sky arts portrait artist of the week’. This week’s sitter was the charismatic Rob Rinder- Criminal Barrister and TV personality.
It’s a bizarrely intimate experience to sit for 4 hrs and study someone’s nostrils, ears and lips in such detail! You feel like you’re invading their privacy somehow! I hope I caught something of his intellect and inquiring mind.
It was a great experience to paint alongside Gareth Reid and the thousands of other artists around the world- what better way to spend a ‘lockdown Sunday’. It really pushed me out of my comfort zone!
