My submission for ‘sky arts portrait artist of the week’. This weeks sitter was the actor / singer-songwriter Will Young.
The little bird has significance...
For me; I am the bird - sitting on a branch, eavesdropping on a very open and honest conversation between 2 people about their passions and motivations. The bird also symbolises ‘freedom’ and for Will it was all about freedom of expression. He also made reference to the fact that he draws garden birds. The picture on the wall was of a dead bird... so I’ve resurrected it as one of his drawings.
