OTIS Linocut Print

6” x 8” linocut print

I had such a fun day yesterday doing a linocut workshop with the fabulous @alixalmond.  Great to get out, learn new skills, meet new people, and have the freedom to relax and be creative at the same time.  So here is ‘Otis mark II’.

Linocut twists your mind somewhat as the lines that you carve out will be white once printed, the areas left uncarved will be black, not only that but the print will be a mirror image of what you are carving and if you make a wrong mark there is no going back!

I was not the only one to tackle a dog…another lady carved her dog called ‘Little Mouse’…it was so charming! We did a print swap and they look fabulous sitting side by side.

Alix runs regular workshops- you can see future dates on her website at www.alixalmond.com. I would highly recommend her classes.
