BLENHEIM PALACE FLOWER SHOW

A fabulous long weekend spent with @micklemsfarmflowers & @micklemsfarmcreativeworkshops weekend painting LIVE in their show garden at @blenheimpalaceflowershow…very excited that ‘Micklem’s Farm’ won a ‘silver award’ for their display of freshly cut flowers and bouquets. I’m literally in flower painting heaven here! I’m also exhibiting my original floral oil paintings in the marquee. DAY 1 Above.

I chose to paint the sweet peas on the ladder behind my easel to my left.…no mean feat given the 11mph winds, rain and number of people looking over my shoulder! Great challenge though!

This one started life as a vision in purple.  There was much debate as to what the background colour should finally be- so this is a ‘mash-up’ of suggested colours given that I couldn’t decide on one!
