‘ST IVES’

We were in St Ives at the end of May, staying in a property just behind the Tate Gallery. It had the most amazing views over the town and beaches. The sun rose to the right of my view and set on the left and it was fascinating to watch the light and shadows move slowly across the rooftops. The changing light could be quite dramatic meaning I had to work quite fast to capture it. There was so much to look at that I ended up painting the same scene 4 times ;)
