Jepherson Gardens, Leamington Spa

I wouldn’t normally choose to paint buildings- especially when there are so many beautiful flowers around!...but I loved all the dynamic lines and interesting shapes in this composition of ‘The Glasshouse’. I was lucky also to win a ‘Highly Commended’ certificate and voucher for @Picturesque in Warwick.

Such a great event hosted by @janettegeorgeart and the team at #warwickshireopenstudios. I find ‘plein air’ painting a bit daunting but it was a case of ‘safety in numbers’ today with over 100 artists taking part around the gardens.  Well done to all who took part 👏🌟and created such a lovely atmosphere in our local park.

This is a full 6 hours worth of oil painting in the full September sunshine, in the great company of @SarahLowryart, such a memorable day.
