I’m loving Pepper’s pose here- it’s like a doggy-style ‘Saturday Night Fever’!
It’s tricky to know with commissions sometimes how far I can go with colour. I have done one other painting for this lady and, having met her, felt confident to ask… “Would you like a neutral background or something more ‘zingy’ !” Well you can guess her reply :) I don’t need much encouragement!
If you look closely at the process picture you will see that I did actually reign myself in and decide not to include all the flying saucer citrus fruit in the background !!!
