Peonies in my favourite vase - set up across the room on purpose - I figure if you can’t see the detail you can’t paint the detail! My recent life drawing classes definitely influenced this painting - the mark making was very spontaneous and intuitive. Done with a filbert brush too - I hardly ever use those shaped brushes, was just in the mood for shaking things up a bit!!
