These ones look like I’ve just gone ‘Swish-swash-swoosh-done’ (that’s the painting equivalent of ‘bish-bash-bosh’!) but I assure you each mark was placed carefully and in a very deliberate way. They sum up for me the joy of working ‘wet in wet’ with thick oil paint because you get to ‘sculpt’ the paint and almost feel the flowers as you are painting them.
