The painting above is from a small section of the garden, roughly in the middle of the panoramic. HOLLYHOCKS

I tried to interpret this picture in subtle tones, with lots of soft edges, making the focal point the opening seed heads on the stem right of center (mmm- that didn’t happen!) with less emphasis on the flowers. It kind of went off in a direction all of its own! I watched a tutorial / demo by @lisa_daria_kennedy half way through doing it and it sent me a bit off course as I started trying out things she’d been doing! The orange top right was not in my original plan, and neither were the shadow shapes on the brickwork, that just happened at the end of the painting as a bit of an experiment really!
